Introduce yourself, tell us a bit about you.
I am a mother of two children, a girl and a boy, and I am also a grandmother to four children between the ages of 9 and 18 years, three girls and one boy. At the age of 21, I emigrated to Australia and lived there for 23 years. When I returned to Malta I started working with Medavia and never looked back.
How long have you been employed by the Company?
I joined Medavia in 1997 as an Executive Secretary/PA to the Managing Director. Two years ago my role changed and was appointed to the HR department as an HR Administrator. Both positions have been very interesting and enjoyed working in both roles.
What advice would you give to people aspiring in your career path?
From the two positions I have worked in, HR is my preference. HR is a fast-growing career field with many beneficial opportunities. To break into a career in Human Resources you need to plan your life, your education, and your work experience around qualifying for careers in HR. HR demands integrity, confidentiality and interpersonal interaction capabilities.
What attracted you to Medavia?
Aviation. I always worked in an aviation company even when I was in Australia. Aviation jobs involve regular communication with others and also aviation is a fast-paced industry which is what I like.
What was your latest or biggest achievement with Medavia?
My greatest accomplishment while I have been working with Medavia, in a time when the Company was growing at a fast pace, I was raising my children, keeping my home in order, and I even managed to go to University and earn a Higher Diploma in Management.
Any hobbies, interests you wish to share?
