On 21 August 2024, Medavia marked its 46th anniversary, celebrating nearly five decades of continuous service in the aviation industry. Founded in 1978 to bridge Europe and the remote oil fields of North Africa, Medavia quickly became known for its reliable charter operations in challenging regions. Over the years, the company evolved into a specialist aviation organization offering EASA-certified aircraft maintenance (Part-145), Part-21J design engineering, ground handling, and charter brokerage services. Based at Safi Aviation Park in Malta, Medavia plays a key role in connecting Malta with North Africa while serving clients across Europe and the Middle East.

The company maintains a strong footprint in MRO services and is an Authorized Service Facility for De Havilland Dash 8 aircraft.
