Tool and Equipment Calibration Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in house calibration of tools and equipment.
  • Upkeep of calibration records on the company’s database.
  • Issue and distribute monthly calibration due list.
  • Raise requisitions, POs and ROs when outsourcing calibration.
  • Create tooling and equipment calibration data sheets and respective work sheets for calibration.
  • Be conversant with the Tool Calibration procedure and related forms for in house calibration.
  • Amend the company procedures and related forms in compliance with standard requirements.
  • Assist during audits (both internal and external).
  • Enhance and develop new in-house calibration capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by superiors and as commensurate to the role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Preferably have prior experience in similar role.
  • Has a good knowledge of Electro-Mechanical related equipment and preferably is coming from an aviation related environment.
  • Must have prior technical work experience with understanding of engineering terms.
  • Preferably conversant with relevant aviation industry rules and requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to fast-paced working environments and conditions.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • MQF Level 5 Qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
