Line Maintenance Aircraft Mechanic
The Line Maintenance Aircraft Mechanic performs aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance data and work orders during base maintenance input checks or during line maintenance operations. These tasks are conducted under the direction of, Line Maintenance Supervisors, and licensed Certifying staff (B1s and B2s), as well as Senior Aircraft Mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform line maintenance tasks in accordance with approved maintenance data and work orders
- Support defect rectification, troubleshooting, and daily operational checks
- Assist with critical safety system tasks under direct supervision
- Comply with OHSA, aviation regulations, MOE procedures, and company standards
- Report hazards and incidents through the SMS system
- Ensure proper use of tools, GSE, and equipment
- Support aircraft ground handling activities such as towing and refuelling when required
- Maintain accurate training and experience records
- Contribute to efficient aircraft turnaround and on-time performance
Requirements:
- Completed apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance or relevant mechanical/technical trade
- Experience in line maintenance preferred (junior aircraft mechanic experience considered)
- Alternatively, 5–6 years’ experience in another maintenance industry
- Good understanding of engineering practices and technical documentation
- Detail-oriented, able to work under time pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Computer literate and fluent in English
- MQF Level 3 technical qualification (preferably in aircraft maintenance)
- SEC O-Level standard in English, Mathematics, and Physics preferred
