Aircraft Painter

Medavia is seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to meticulously execute paint repairs on aircraft airframes, structures, and cabin items, adhering to the standards detailed in our maintenance documentation. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying and communicating any defects discovered during the painting process to their supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complies with OHS standards, aviation maintenance industry rules, regulations.
  • Reports safety hazards and incidents.
  • Performs paint repairs, and other related tasks on aircraft and its components during base maintenance.
  • Assists the Structure Mechanics and the Cabin Mechanics during paint restoration tasks.
  • Ensures experience records and recurrent training are up to date.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned by superiors and as commensurate to the role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Preferably has previous working experience as an aircraft painter.

Or

  • Has worked for a period of 2 years as a painter in a workshop of similar industry.
  • Is fluent with the use of technical manuals and documents.
  • Interprets paint technical data sheets and MSDS.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge in engineering and has a practical understanding of workshop practices.
  • Must be detail oriented with an eye for high quality standards and finishes.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with other team members.
  • Preferably be computer literate.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Preferably in possession of a technical qualification.
