Tool Store Attendant

Position Overview:
The Tool Store Attendant will be responsible for managing, issuing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and consumables necessary for aircraft maintenance operations in compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations. This role ensures that all tools and consumables are properly stored, tracked, calibrated, and available when required, supporting efficient and safe maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure controlled issuance and return of tools and equipment.
- Performs periodic checks including inspections to ensure tool serviceability and availability.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of tools and equipment.
- Monitor and coordinate tool calibration schedules.
- Ensures serviceability of tools and equipment.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and preparation of loaned tools for shipment after use.
- Proactively advise on the need to purchase, loan or replace tools.
- Maintain and manage tool and equipment inventory.
- Manage the availability and distribution of consumable materials.
- Conduct stock checks and audits to prevent shortages and discrepancies.
- Oversee replenishment, control, and management of consumables and store provisions.
- Ensure compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations, company MOE, and health & safety policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for store operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- In possession of an SEC at O-Level standard in English Language, demonstrating proficiency in English.
- Demonstrates sufficient skill, competency, and knowledge in the field of tooling and related procedures.
- Detail oriented with good time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Capable of working and communicating with management levels, cross functional areas and customer effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate with other team members in English.
- Computer literate.
- In possession of a technical qualification to MQF Level 3
- Preferably having completed a technical apprenticeship scheme, and in possession of a Journeyman’s certificate.
- Preferably having experience in tooling store at any another aircraft maintenance organisation.
- Preferably capable and experienced in sequencing and controlling demand workloads, on time, to budget and the required standard.
