Aircraft Cabin Mechanic
Position Overview
Medavia seeks skilled Aircraft Cabin Mechanics for our team. Responsibilities include detailed maintenance of aircraft cabin interiors, monuments, and emergency equipment in line with specified standards, and the communication of any defects to supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove, inspect, inventory, and install aircraft emergency equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble cabin panels and monuments, including sidewalls, ceiling panels, galleys, partitions, lavatories, and flight compartment panels.
- Perform general and detailed visual inspections of cabin components, including seats, galleys, and interior panels.
- Repair, replace, and install cabin interior components, including upholstery, fabric, carpets, and trim.
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of aircraft lavatories and galleys.
- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, and other technical publications.
- Maintain accurate experience records, training logs, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper housekeeping standards and maintain all assigned tools and equipment in good condition.
- Report safety hazards, incidents, and defects promptly to supervisors.
- Comply with OHS standards, the Company’s SMS, and aviation maintenance regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other maintenance personnel and support departments.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by superiors, commensurate with the role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship with an aircraft maintenance organization, holding a Journeyman’s Certificate, OTD certification, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as an aircraft cabin mechanic in base and/or line maintenance.
- Proficient in using aircraft maintenance manuals and other technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of hangar operations, engineering fundamentals, and workshop practices.
- Good organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented, with a demonstrated commitment to precise, high-quality work and finishes.
- Positive attitude, proactive, meticulous, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Experience with turboprop aircraft will be considered an asset.
