Workshops & Support Manager


Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Liaise with Maintenance departments in allocation of resources for ongoing aircraft maintenance checks, subject to established priorities;
  • Responsible for upkeeping of the highest standards within departments’ facilities;
  • Interfaces and liaises with company departments and external contractors as required to ensure that production requirements and targets established are met;
  • Allocating work related to and monitoring completion of Corrective Actions related to non-conformances raised by regulatory / customer / internal auditors as requested;
  • Supervision of and responsibility for all workshops and respective operations;
  • Monitoring that Calibration of Tooling are up—to-date and available for maintenance inputs;
  • Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance department personnel under his responsibility comply with the requirements of regulatory and company procedures;
  • Identify opportunities for further development of workshop capabilities with ongoing market trends;
  • Reporting to the manufacturer and to the respective Airworthiness Authorities any condition which could present a safety hazard.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualification at EQF Level 6 in an Engineering subject or equivalent, or hold EASA Part66 B1, B2 or C license with approval privileges;
  • Aviation experience preferably in an airline / maintenance environment;
  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, preferably in possession of an ECDL certificate;
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English;
  • Must be capable of working in a team environment;
  • Attentive to detail and capable of working in accordance with strict rules and procedures;
  • Able to travel overseas.
